It takes about an hour’s flight from Kathmandu
to reach Nepalgunj. It is the gateway to western Nepal.

Air. Nepalgunj is the major commercial city in the western
region and popular treks to Dolpa, Jumla, Rara Lake
and Mount Kailash begins from here. Summers are dry
and the temperatures are quite hot and winter is cold
with snowfall in the upper mountainous western region
of Nepal.
